Manages daily cash transfer activity and processes. Ensures cash transactions are in compliance with SOX / audit requirements and adherence to standard cash processing guidelines. Work with banks as well as internal colleagues to resolve transaction issues. Provides support for management reporting initiatives and guidance to offshore / onshore support team. Participates in new cash initiatives to ensure proper workflows are established and processes are documented. Manage company-wide cash flow, including working with business areas to determine appropriate forecasting models. Determines appropriate net cash position, on a daily and projected basis, considering multiple cash impact factors, including processing of disbursements. Analyzes banking activity balances and associated ledger information to ensure appropriate accounting for activity; works with management to ensure that un-reconciled items are appropriately researched and resolved. Coordinate responses to both internal and external auditors.


Fundamental Components:
Complete treasury functions with focus on continuous process improvement and independent ownership of more complex operational functions. Forecast cash flow trends to provide information to funds for short term investing or debt placement. Perform comprehensive analyses of cash forecasting to actual variances. Direct disbursement processes, ensuring compliance with authorization procedures and controls. Reconcile bank to general ledger activity, working with business areas and banks to resolve differences. Perform functions associated with bank account changes and implementations ensuring proper governance procedures are followed. Serve as liaison with banks in establishing performance metrics, resolving issues and ensuring proper system connectivity for Treasury management purposes and business needs. Analyze business cash flows, making recommendations for improvements related to both processing and technology. Ensure capital and financing transactions are properly monitored and processed, and financial reporting is timely and accurate.


Background Experience:
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in Banking, Treasury, and/or Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.

This position may be located in Hartford Connecticut or Woonsocket Rhode Island.
