Fundamental Components:
Create analytic tools to drive decision making within the organization. Utilize an industry leading, scalable data platform and tools to glean insights from a large array of data sources. Coordinate, analyze, and present health care related clinical analytics projects. Engage in business conversations that integrate an in-depth healthcare domain knowledge and active participation with several key stakeholders to forge a partnership to guide and shape future needs with clear and focused attention. Bring healthcare industry domain knowledge and conduct secondary research on clinically-oriented literature to inform decision making and predictive models.Collaborate with clinical subject matter experts to design innovative clinical initiatives and evaluation metrics to improve population health outcome. Determine analytical approaches and modeling techniques to investigate and solve highly complex business problems. Develop and use algorithms and statistical predictive models to detect patterns and identify potential future outcomes. Provide mentorship on advanced analytical skills and domain knowledge to junior data scientists and analysts. Provide quality review and guidance to junior team members. Utilize programming languages including R or Python to handle, explore, examine, analyze and interpret structured and unstructured data in various forms. Frame complex measurement problems and coordinate the development of analytical solutions. Communicate analytic concepts, implications, and solutions in a manner that builds stakeholder confidence. Utilize data visualization techniques and tools including Tableau or RShiny to build strategic and operational dashboards for communicating analytical results and supporting business decisions.

Background Experience:
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Health Informatics or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of healthcare industry experience in an analytical role working with health care data, systems and standards. Must have experience utilizing R or Python to manipulate large datasets and develop statistical models; performing mathematical analysis, machine learning, and experimental design and evaluation; utilizing data visualization techniques and business intelligence tools, including Tableau or RShiny; and writing SQL queries to extract, transform and load large datasets.
