Finance Manager-Innovation/Business Development - 61571BR

The role can sit in MA-Wellesley, CT-Hartford, RI-Woonsocket, or NY-New York

Strategic finance position supporting early to mid-stage products and services develop from the earliest stages of ideation through to minimum viable product creation, pilot and commercial launch. The Innovation Finance team is taking the assets and institutional knowledge of legacy CVS and Aetna respectively and building new products and services to meet unmet consumer needs in healthcare.

This role will serve as the finance lead on between 3-5 new business concepts while providing support across the broader Innovation portfolio. Role will include financial modeling, business case development, and ad hoc analyses, this in addition to the traditional FP&A responsibilities of financial reporting, planning & analysis, general ledger reconciliations, journal entries and forecasting. Ideal candidate will have experience working in a large corporation but the mindset of a start-up entrepreneur.

Fundamental Components:
*Responsible for the financial modeling, investment analysis, business case development and FP&A responsibilities
*Coordinating and overseeing financial budgeting, forecasting and planning functions - for the Kidney Care businesses within the Innovation portfolio.
*Additional activities will include measuring and reporting on key business drivers, creating financial reporting, IT investment management, pricing development, commercialization planning and execution support, regular and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
*To be effective in this role individual will partner with business leads, marketing, analytics, engineering, accounting, tax, enterprise economics and intercompany buyers.
*This role will also include activities across the innovation portfolio including mentoring junior team members, creating and streamlining financial processes, standardizing investment analyses and developing a framework for making investment decisions across the portfolio.
*May be asked to lead strategic projects to benefit the Innovation finance team.

Background Experience:
*4-8 years related accounting/financial experience, healthcare finance a plus
*Financial modeling experience required
*Financial planning, analysis and reporting experience strongly preferred
*Prior experience leading a project team
*Financial systems experience (Oracle Hyperion, SAP S4) a plus
*Bachelor’s Degree; Finance or Accounting degree preferred
*Advanced degree in Business and/or FSA/CPA preferred
*Investment banking or consulting experience a plus
*Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel required
