Senior Web Developer

Primary Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Description:
Translates business requirements, product and service specifications into digital platforms for CareFree Insurance Services. Acts as the development lead for CareFree’s digital platforms.

Fundamental Components:
Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
Build and manage websites and applications for both B2B and B2C users.
Manage source code and deployment using Git Write clean code to develop functional web applications for CareFree
Insurance Services.
Prepare detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written.
Design, code, test, debug, and document those programs.
Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies to improve CareFree’s legacy applications.
Collaborate with Front-end developers, Product Managers, and designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Gather and address technical and design requirements.
Provide training and support to CareFree’s internal and external teams.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators within CareFree to identify new features.
Follow emerging technologies.


This is a remote opportunity but will be required to live within commuting distance of either the Tulsa or Kansas City offices.



Background Experience:
Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong work management and service skills.
Self-starter accustomed to working independently in high paced and creative environment .
Able to communicate effectively to management and business partners in a formal and structured written and oral format.
Ability to work collaboratively across many teams, prioritizedemands from those team, synthesize information received, and generate meaningful conclusions.
Expertise in one or more programming language, development tools, and/or databases and the systems development life cycle, applicable to development organization.
Experience in managing data systems using SQL or equivalent
6+ years’ experience in application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
6+ years’ experience acting as a team lead or equivalent.
Understand the business and functional requirements that apply to the applications supporting a sub-domain or domain as well as their relevant interfaces.



Additional Job Information:
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
May be involved in providing assistance and training to lower level Programmer/Analysts.
Receives general supervision, and is competent to work at the highest level of all technical phases of systems analysis and application program development while working on own most of the time.
Ability to work effectively with business areas, IT infrastructure teams, and IT management and staff.
Broad knowledge of the client area's functions and systems, and systems and application program development technologies alternatives.
Excellent communication skills.
