POSITION SUMMARY
Assists with the execution of long- and short-term broker and client strategy for the health plan. Collaborates with the Sales team to develop and implement communication, training, and marketing approaches that positively impact sales and marketing activities among brokers and clients in the local market.

Fundamental Components:
The individual in this role will be supporting the Sales/Service team with the mission to ensure that the broker partners, clients and community have an overall positive experience of Aetna. We are looking for a highly motivated, positive, and organized team player who is capable of handling multiple, changing priorities while managing day-to-day responsibilities, The ideal candidate is someone who sees what needs to get done & and takes initiative, and thrives on variety, efficiency & challenge. This person willingly takes ownership and accountability, stays on top of daily tasks while meeting required turn-around times.

Below is a summary of some of the duties that this individual will perform:
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Managers to achieve growth/renewal objectives, including assisting with group and broker meetings.
- Assists with generating leads by identifying and developing relationships with brokers, clients, and community organizations.
- Plans and facilitates the logistics of activities, special events, and presentations. This may include responsibility for reserving space, facilitating catering, communication, assisting with travel, and materials distribution.
- Coordinate with marketing team to support sales activities and community events.
- Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
- Experience with and a foundational understanding of health insurance, preferred.
- Must be a self-starter who is highly organized.
- Able to work and learn independently while also acting as a team player.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Able to attend broker/client meetings and other events as needed, sometimes after hours.
- Must be comfortable multitasking and be adaptable and comfortable with change.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience with salesforce.com is a plus.
- Health, Life and Accident insurance license a plus (must become licensed within 90 days of hire).

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
