Chief Operating Officer, CareFree Insurance Services

Primary Location: Plantation, Florida
Additional Locations: FL-Plantation

This leadership position provides business leadership across multiple business unit related functions and programs or initiatives. Sets the direction for complex, strategic projects and the resolution of complex business problems which impact the national business results of the agency and its sales process.

In this critical role the COO will collaborate across the Carefree business and with Aetna and Non-Aetna carriers, and within Aetna, with the Medicare segment and other parts of the enterprise to make sure that business needs are met in a compliant and financially viable manner. They will also ensure that expected agency results are achieved and that service excellence is achieved.

This individual is accountable for facilitating the development of business unit strategic plans and the identification of initiatives necessary to achieve organizational growth objectives. As well as responsible for providing guidance and direction to senior business leaders and guides Telebroker downline relationships.

Fundamental Components:

-Facilitates centralized coordination of all administrative, compliance, and sales support aspect of the Carefree business.
-Partners with President of Carefree and other divisions to develop and translate a clear vision and strategy and ensure achievement of organizational goals. Leads Telebroker Downline relationships and establishes appropriate partnership and control environments for net growth attainment and development of TPA (Third Party relationships). ·
-Uses a market-focused approach to collaborate with the Sales team and external agencies to ensure all processes and
interdependencies are identified and addressed on an on-going basis to sustain the agency’s competitive advantage.
-Has an overall big picture understanding of the business and its relationships and serves as a thought leader and key decision maker with respect to setting priorities and driving implementation of strategic opportunities and related projects.·
-Design and implement strategic direction for multiple sales support functions as well as leads sales support activities such
as formalizing external strategic relationships, contracting and establishing business operating models.
-Anticipates key business challenges and develops sustainable business models for National Agency and Agent Contracting and Servicing functions across multiple platforms, products and carriers.
-Lead the prioritization and implementation projects and programs critical to achievement of the business strategy.
- Facilitates significant cross functional, cross organization coordination and effective communication by partnering with key
internal and external stakeholders to ensure goals are met and results achieved.
-Guides proactive monitoring, of emerging issues and risks and identifies and executes mitigating actions.·
-Coordinates with CareFree’s CFO the budgeting,measurement, and, achievement of CareFree financial performance and goals.
-Ensures that financial decisions improve or enhance the profitability of the agency.
-Understands and guides the factors that drive profitability and cash flow for CareFree.
-Ensures that Aetna and non-Aetna broker commission payments to the agency and to downlines are collected and
-Oversees other carriers’ delegated Broker Services and Commission payments to down lines.
-Collaborates across Carefree to analyze and build solutions to strengthen processes. Provides leadership and direction to the sales compliance, operational compliance, Telebrokers, project management, contracting and training teams.Lead and conduct formulation, research, preparation and communication of strategic, operational and financial business plans that deliver enterprise growth expectations.

-Ensure consistent, efficient and cost effective processes, procedures and appropriate accountability.

-Act as strategic thought leader in support of business direction Manage special projects that impact the entire organization and/or key business unit partner.

-Monitor and report on performance relative to plan and strategic alignment.

-Identify business unit issues, coordinate analysis and initiation of corrective action.

-Assures comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences.

Background Experience:

-Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills.
-10+ years’ experience and technical/functional expertise in one or more of the following areas: Medicare (CMS and NAIC) guidelines knowledge, management consulting, operational and service optimization, broker relationships, financial analysis, project management, public policy, mergers and acquisitions, operations management and/or marketing.
-Relevant Broker Agency industry experiences a plus
-Advanced MS Office skills
-Proven relationship management skills at senior levels within an organization and external constituents
-Experience with complex enterprise-wide initiatives
-Demonstrated experience developing analysis, presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives.

Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred

College Degree required.
