POSITION SUMMARY

Leadership of sales, account management and business
retention for Aetna's Medicare products and


services in support of profitable growth and other business
objectives for the Keystone Market.

Leader for a 35+ person high performance sales team including
sales management.


Creator of a successful, powerful, empowered, compliant sales
culture.


Develops, communicates and executes sales/marketing
operational strategy and performance


measures in line with company, Medicare segment, region and
market goals.


Ensures achievement of sales, membership growth, retention and

profitability goals.

Inspirational leader of a large, remote sales team of broker
distribution and direct sales.


Analyzes competitive environment to support and improve
pricing,


underwriting and product development strategies as well as
service


approach and sales efforts.

Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with all
constituents.


Recruits, attracts and retains a diverse workforce and
engages and


develops them through mentoring, coaching and making
available tools and


resources. Partners with cross-functional team and represents
sales to


ensure internal and external constituent needs are met.

Removes organizational barriers that impact the
cross-functional work required to


achieve results.

Educates constituents on Aetna specific policies, product
information, and


procedures as well as industry issues and related current key
business


issues.





Background Experience:

At least 5-7 years of sales and marketing
management experience.



At least 10 years of industry sales experience.

Experience with both management of distribution and direct
selling.


Licensure as required by state.

College degree and work experience.





Additional Job Information:
Key sales and marketing leadership role for
Aetna's largest Medicare market. Broad exposure to many parts of Aetna with involvement
in strategic planning, product development, marketing programs and the
inspirational leadership of a large sales team. Aetna has newly reached #1
market share position in this area with runway for upside growth potential in
the two largest metros. Successful candidate will have experience with sales
through broker distribution and direct to consumer sales. Will have strong
personal selling skills, be a player-coach and be able to develop high-level
partnerships.
