Vice President of Long-Term Care (LTC) Mercy Care

The Vice President of Long-Term Care (LTC) will play a significant and vital role within Mercy Care. This position will oversee the entire operations of the LTC contract and is accountable to Federal and State regulators for requirements and obligations.

Fundamental Components:
  • Develops, implements, oversees and evaluates the Mercy Care Long Term Care (LTC) program
  • Leads a large case management department, ensuring that appropriate and cost effective medical and medically-related social and behavioral health services and supports are identified, planned, obtained and monitored for individuals eligible for Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) services, families, and caregivers
  • Evaluates case management, health, social, cultural and financial data and assigns resources accordingly to ensure cost and effective quality outcomes
  • Responsible for development of connections and partnerships in the area of workforce development, home and community based services (HCBS), and institutional programs
  • Ensures the development of high performing multidisciplinary case management, support services, and leadership teams
  • Keep abreast of National, State and local trends and regulations in long term care services and support
  • Collaborates with internal departments to ensure network adequacies and address any potential gaps


Background Experience:
  • Significant knowledge and experience regarding long-term care services and supports
  • Medicaid/Medicare business knowledge and understanding required
  • Operational and financial acumen
  • Program development
  • External relationship building and management
  • Program development
  • Employee relations and management
  • 5 years' leadership experience in a managed care organization

Education:

Advanced degree preferred; equivalent industry experience is acceptable. Bachelor's degree required. Master’s in business, public administration, public health, or social services preferred

Additional Job Information:
The Vice President of Long-Term Care (LTC) will play a significant and vital role within Mercy Care. This position will oversee the entire operations of the LTC contract and is accountable to regulators for requirements and obligations under Federal and State contracts. A substantial component of this role will be leading a large case management department, ensuring that appropriate and cost effective medical and medically-related social and behavioral health services and supports are identified, planned, obtained and monitored for individuals eligible for Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) services. Overall, this position will require strong employee relations and management, operational acumen, significant external relationship building and management, and program development.
