This role is office based in Phoenix, AZ with 10-25% travel around Maricopa County.

This position is responsible for oversight, management and compliance with Federal and State funded grants including but not limited to addressing the opioid use disorder, Mental Health Block Grants, Substance Abuse Block Grants as administered by Mercy Care Plan, Regional Behavioral Health Authority for the central region. The position requires knowledge of substance abuse programming, grant management. This staff is actively Involved in initiative planning, ongoing client relationship management and satisfaction for assigned initiatives to ensure plan contract compliance. This staff collaborates across plan departments and external stakeholder and Providers as well as plan regulators. Participates as a team member, may be responsible for concurrent initiatives or act as team lead for less complex projects based on resource requirements.

Background Experience:
-A bachelor's degree or relevant experience required
-Masters degree preferred, but not required
-Knowledgeable of Non-Title XIX/XXI Funding Mechanisms-Preferred
-Familiar with Federal Grants Administered by SAMHSA, with particular emphasis on Block Grants and other Cost-reimbursement Grants is preferred
-Ability to produce within agile, interdepartmental work environment is required
-Comfortable interfacing with and coordinating project outcomes with multiple departments and external stakeholders is required
-Consistent experience preparing, validating and submitting deliverables to regulators is required
-Experience fielding, reviewing and revising budgets is preferred
-Oversight of project trajectory and budget milestones is preferred
-Knowledge of providers and community resources in Maricopa County (General Mental Health – Substance Use) is required
-Comfortability navigating, cross-referencing AHCCCS Manuals (ACOM, AMPM) is required
-Experience with Microsoft suite, and Quickbase is preferred
