Executive Assistant

Primary Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Additional Locations: AZ-Phoenix
The Executive Assistant provides a wide-range of administrative support to the SVP, Medicaid. They will take a proactive approach with managing calendars, travel, communications and other administrative support. They should be well versed in using Microsoft Office applications to compile and analyze complex date for specialized reports and developing presentation materials such as slide-decks, charts and graphs. May be asked to support other Medicaid Executives as needed and may be involved in project coordination and taking an active role in Medicaid-wide initiatives such as coordinating small programs and employee engagement activities.

Fundamental Components:
  • Responsible for coordination of meeting agendas and minutes Accountable for follow-up on issues identified in meetings (e.g., staff assignments, etc.)
  • Communicates and/or coordinates manager's instructions and requests with various individuals and/or departments. Responsible for follow-up
  • Coordinates Mangers' outside professional and civic obligations
  • Prepares specialized reports, gathering, summarizing and analyzing data and developing recommendations for manager
  • Participates and/or leads special projects May be authorized to approve expenditures up to assigned dollar amount.

Background Experience:
  • 5+ years administrative and/or technical support experience with at least 2 years supporting executive level leaders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's College degree (desired).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Job Information:
  • Needs to have the ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing environments
  • Needs to have the ability to communicate quickly and make decisions timely
  • Will work closely and collaborate with other administrative staff who support Medicaid executives and should be willing to mentor other administrative assistants.
