  • Accountable for the oversight and ongoing management of complex enterprise projects which typically impact more than one of the following: process, system, product and/or function
  • Develops and implements strategic project plan to achieve business goals
  • Proactively leads project and/or business with notable complexity and risk with business area implications, by setting direction of project, creating project plan, timeline identifying key milestones and additional resources needed on selected project(s)
  • Solicits and evaluates internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement
  • Responsible for managing the business case of complex projects
  • Identifies issues that may stall project and addresses them by either resolving the issue or creating an alternative solution
  • Tracks progress and communicates project(s) status on a regular basis to all impacted parties
  • Builds communication plans for implementation to ensure all impacted parties (up stream/down stream) are informed of next steps for completion
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert
  • Impacts segment or function results, anticipating business issues and influences internal practices
  • Anticipates and solves highly complex issues/problems with broad impact on business area
  • Anticipates business issues and influences internal practices to improve business results
  • Anticipates and solves highly complex problems; develops innovative solutions

Background Experience:
  • 5-10 years health insurance industry experience
  • Multiple years proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes
  • Proven track record managing complex projects and or programs that resulted in cost savings / revenue
  • Project management experience 5 – 10 years of strong analytical experience working in Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (advanced skills in MS PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

The location can be nationwide, work at time, but must be willing to travel to Hartford, CT.
