Job Details

Associate Systems Engineering- Weekend Shift

Primary Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Additional Locations: AZ-Phoenix
From the Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) monitor, manage and maintain a network of deployed Windows and Unix devices. Work with Windows/Unix Engineers to monitor and maintain the deployed devices. As a valued member of the team, he/she will diagnose issues identified by server monitoring tools and determine actions required to resolve these issues. Work with various third parties (Engineers, System Architects, Infrastructure Vendors, Customers, and Developers) to achieve resolution on service-affecting issues. Clearly and effectively document information in the Trouble Ticket system for communication to coworkers, other departments, and service providers.

Fundamental Components:
  • 1+ years experience with Linux and Windows supporting high-load, real-time Internet applications on IIS, Apache/Tomcat.
  • Comfortable with performing hands on hardware and software maintenance and deployments in a data center environment.
  • Recommend new tools and technologies to support the Data Center.
  • Previous experience or exposure to tools such as HP OpenView, Tivoli, and/or BMC BPPM Product line, Remedy Application and /or Service Now is a plus.
  • Utilize clear communication skills when documenting and training processes to team members.
  • Mentor junior staff members.

Background Experience:
  • Background in data processing or familiarity with data processing fundamentals desired.
  • 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

Additional Job Information:
Position is in the 24x7 Data Center NOCC. This is for the weekend night shift.

Thursday-Saturday 6pm-6am
​Every Other Sunday 6pm-6am
