Account Director (Account Management)

Primary Location: Phoenix, AZ
Additional Locations: AZ-Chandler, AZ-Glendale, AZ-Mesa, AZ-Phoenix, AZ-Tempe, AZ-Tucson
The Business Account Director is accountable to develop long term client management strategies & execute effective account management strategies for larger, more complex accounts to meet profitable growth and cross-selling objectives.

** MUST be located in AZ
** MUST be willing to travel 30-40% between AZ & Southern CA **

Fundamental Components:
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills and lead client interactions with C-Suite decision makers
  • Supervisory responsibilities of designated Account Manager
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate internal partners (underwriting, sales, operations, business analytics, etc.)
  • Assess and understand competitive environment and market opportunities to drive a competitive advantage
  • Handle complex contract negotiation and leverage available resources
  • Develop retention and growth forecast and deliver results
  • Identify and present cross-sell opportunities
  • Educate client on regulatory issues and developing healthcare trends that could potentially impact their plan
  • Analyze client utilization data to understand cost drivers and develop health plan strategy to reduce costs over time
  • Participation in finalist presentations related to new business

Background Experience:
  • 5+ years of Healthcare Account Management experience is REQUIRED
  • Healthcare Industry Experience is REQUIRED
  • 8-10 years industry or customer service experience REQUIRED
  • Experience with Self Funded is REQUIRED
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Licensure as required by state.

Additional Job Information:
This role will must be physically located in Arizona, preferably in Phoenix. This role will interact with Public & Labor groups. As well as school trusts. Local relationships will be key.

License - Insurance - License, Life/Health (ME)
