The Financial Consultant will support Aetna's ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals through effective support of financial closing, planning, and forecast processes. Responsible for multiple accounting and finance functions including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining weekly and monthly paid claims reconciliation, reconciling general ledger accounts, and analyze financial data.
*Maintain weekly and monthly reconciliation of claims payments
*Reconcile general ledger accounts
*Analyze financial data for accuracy, trends, developments in competitive environment
*Provide assistance with financial, regulatory, and health plan reports and audits
*Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable process including check generation
BACKGROUND EXPRIENCE DESIRED:
*2-4 years finance related experience, healthcare a plus
*Bachelor’s Degree; Finance or Accounting degree or equivalent work experience
*Analytical and system knowledge, i.e. strong Excel
*Hyperion (Essbase) and Oracle knowledge a plus
*Team player, critical thinker, and problem solver
*Continuous improvement mindset
*Collaboration with other finance areas and working cross-functionally across enterprise
*Work independently with business areas to compile information
