63889Fundamental Components: Take ownership of assigned projects and/or models/tools. Raise issues and propose suggestions as appropriate. Provide input into decision making process. May mentor intern or new employee. With direction from supervisor, develop assumptions and input into models. Demonstrate basic understanding and working knowledge of internal data sources. Demonstrate fundamental understanding of intradepartmental products, programs, processes and policies; research problems and issues. Demonstrate fundamental understanding of regulatory compliance issues. Work with supervisor to develop fundamental understanding of specific risks. Compile filing data. Prepare and submit necessary exhibits for regulatory filings. Provide technical support in the analysis of reserve levels. Provide technical support for planning, forecasting and reporting process. Support pricing and trend analysis function. Develop creative technical solutions to a variety of problems. Demonstrate spreadsheeting proficiency and familiarity with database and web-based applications. Support development and implementation of appropriate tools and models. Support maintenance and development of enhancements to processes, tools, and make suggestions to maximize efficiency. Participate in development and finalization of business requirements and/or specifications for processes, tools, and systems. Participate in testing of changes to processes, tools, and systems. Participate in multi-functional workgroups. Respond to routine inquiries from internal constituents in a clear and professional manner. Create and maintain accurate documentation of tools and processes. Under supervisor direction, collaborate with internal constituents. Background Experience: Work experience equivalent to college degree. Employees in the Actuarial Training Program are expected to have a college degree with concentration typically in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics or related field and should be at/near associate-ship in the Society of Actuaries.College degree or equivalent experience. Passed at least one exam.
