Medicare Part D Product Consultant (Medicare Part D experience required)

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who can work across functional teams to provide Part D subject matter expertise (SME) on a wide variety of project assignments related to Aetna pharmacy products. The selected candidate should be able to effectively convey verbally and in writing appropriate root cause analysis and solutions using a wide variety of available tools and guidance. The selected candidate will work across the business segment researching CMS guidance, platform capabilities, filing requirements, and achieving other internal business needs, such as creating Policies & Procedures, testing Medicare Plan Finder, reviewing Aetna Medicare web-based material, testing broker tools, etc.

Fundamental Components:
An addition to staff working across organizational lines on various topics that require the selected candidate to become a subject-matter-expert on CMS guidance, knowledge of Aetna system platforms (e.g., HMO, NextGen, RxEnroll, etc.), HPMS, various drug pricing tools, collection of competitive intelligence, review of marketing and member materials for accuracy and many other deliverables of the Part D Product department. Candidate must be able to identify/analyze root causes and solve problems in a timely manner. Must achieve high degree of competency interacting with downstream partners and entities, such as Caremark (PBM), Rx Operations, Marketing, Compliance, IT, Legal and other areas as needed. Work collaboratively with individual SMEs and across functional lines to assure desired results.

Due to business needs, we are seeking candidates in either the eastern or central time zones.

Background Experience:
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Medicare with a working knowledge of Part D in either an operational, compliance or IT role. It is expected that the incumbent will have strong Medicare experience in one or more functional areas, with working Part D knowledge and experience. Strong technical skills are a must, as is a direct communications style, disciplined project management skills and proficient business experience to assure that issues are resolved timely and effectively. Medicare Product is a demanding environment as we touch most aspects of the business. Selected candidate must demonstrate being a highly motivated self-starter – no micromanaging occurs here. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Be efficient & flexible to meet organizational goals and above all personable and accommodating as we often encounter conflicting priorities.
