VP, Chief Growth Officer, New York & New Jersey

Primary Location: New York, New York
Additional Locations: NJ-Jersey City, NJ-Parsippany, NY-Albany, NY-New York
Dedicated, fully accountable senior leader, charged with delivering Employer Growth across Commercial, Group Medicare and Specialty businesses in alignment with strategy and operating plan goals for the Northeast market.

This role reports to the NY/NJ Market President who also oversees the New England territory.

Location: NYC or Parsippany NJ office is a requirement.
Healthcare license to sell healthcare to NY/NJ is required.

Fundamental Components:
Defining and delivering on cross-segment growth strategy and distribution channel optimization for local market
Provides strategic direction and leadership to all sales and service staff (Includes Small Group, Middle Market, Public and Labor sector, and National Accounts)
Provides consultative services to customers to achieve sales, service, and retention goals for assigned business segments, products, and services, to achieve profitable growth.
Drives innovative sales and distribution strategies and supports best practice deployment across all sales teams Identifies, cultivates, and maintains strong relationships with all constituents, both internal and external (key customers and their affiliate organizations, corporate leaders, brokers, consultants, community leaders, etc.); participates and presents at external industry events; serves as the voice of Aetna in the marketplace and is viewed as a key industry/community leader.
Coaches, mentors, and manages performance of team members; drives talent development and actively builds bench for key roles
Establish strong partnerships and collaborative model with Network, Product, Actuarial/UW, Marketing, Service Ops, and Clinical functions across Commercial, Medicare, and Specialty segments to achieve objectives

The position reports to the NY/NJ Market President and Northeast Territory Coach. The New York/New Jersey market offers an exciting growth opportunity with a talented and motivated team.

Expert in innovative distribution strategies and development of unified sales culture across segments.
Leads and directs sales and account management teams to ensure achievement of sales, membership growth, retention, and profitability goals
Ability to articulate a strategic vision to stakeholders and generates options to determine the most effective implementation approach
Ability to analyze competitive environment to support and improve pricing, underwriting, and product development strategies, as well as service approach and sales efforts driven to achieve long-term success

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Functional - Sales & Service/Account Management/More Than 10 Years

Must have Healthcare license to sell within NY/NJ markets.
