We rely on Planning to aid company management in meeting goals. Its mission is to address issues from a new perspective, look for innovative opportunities and ways of doing things, and implement change.
Assists managers in achieving organization purposes and objectives by solving management and business problems, identifying and seizing new opportunities, enhancing thought leadership and implementing change.
Facilitates the development of enterprise and business unit strategic plans. Responsible for providing analysis, guidance and direction within areas of expertise; and developing relationships with external consultants, key SMEs and leaders within a business unit and cross-functional team members as required in support of initiatives. Address problems of a short to mid-term nature independently and address longer term issues with limited supervision. May oversee assigned small scale cross-enterprise initiatives and also concurrently serve as team member on cross-functional initiatives based on direction from senior leaders.
Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements
Lead formulation, preparation and communication of strategic/operational business, financial and expense plans Leads research associated with business issues and plan formulation Monitor and report on performance
relative to plans Stimulate strategic thinking in support of business direction Develop communication vehicles (e.g., presentations, speeches) Ensure consistent, efficient and cost-effective processes, procedures and
appropriate accountability Manage special projects that impact entire organization Effectively manages organization's resources (e.g., staff, expenses, capital, assets) Assist in preparing advocacy material
4 - 6+ years leadership experience and technical/functional expertise in several of the following areas: management consulting, financial analysis, project management, public policy, mergers and acquisitions, operations
management and/or marketing. Experience with mid-sized cross-functional initiatives, with a moderate to high degree of complexity. Demonstrated experience developing analysis, presentations and support material to
successfully implement strategy or change initiatives. Demonstrated relationship management skills at peer levels within an organization and external constituents.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Master's degree.
