Want to work at the bleeding edge of health insurance, care delivery, data, and technology? This is an entrepreneurial role within the company to join a team building a new business from the ground up to develop and commercialize analytics products. This product manager role will lead development of data and analytics products to improve health, reduce cost, and improve value for our members and customers based on advanced machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science techniques.

Fundamental Components:
  • Owns end to end product management for a portfolio of products
  • Align individual product with company/business unit strategic and operational plans
  • Leads the development and launch of new products, including the following key tasks
    • Directs product analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences and competitive pressures - Incorporates results into the product roadmap and overall product strategy
    • Leads user research to understand unmet needs and minimally viable feature set
    • Articulates and documents feature to be developed
    • Organizes and manages project work necessary to build new features, including workstreams across engineering, data science, internal IT, and sales
    • Partner with marketing on development of marketing message and value story
    • Work with finance, actuary, and sales on initial pricing and business case development
    • Support business segments/sales in product launch and commercialization activities
  • Leads ongoing management of existing products, including the following key tasks
    • Solicits and reviews customer / user feedback
    • Work directly with engineering, internal IT, user experience, marketing, and sales teams to manage feature roadmap, release planning, and backlog management
    • Monitor and report key financial and operational performance indicators and make and execute plans to hit performance objectives.
    • Sunset products where appropriate
  • Be an outstanding partner with engineering to properly scope, solution, and execute development of new features
  • Be an outstanding collaborator, including directly managing key external technology partnerships for the product and internal stakeholders including data science, IT stakeholders, and business / functional stakeholders.
  • Be an outstanding project manager, leading cross-functional teams to on-time, high quality, on-budget delivery of products and features
  • Develop new processes and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of product and engineering teams in delivering high-quality product at pace.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent
  • Experience in payor, provider, and / or pharma segments of healthcare a plus


Background Experience:
  • 5+ years of related industry and / or functional experience
Education and Certification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
