POSITION SUMMARY
The Commercial Director will offer strategic support to three business development areas that are high impact for Healthagens pharmaceutical/life sciences clients: Historical Analysis of health phenomena using Aetna member data, Real-World Evidence Studies of health technologies and interventions in the Aetna environment, and Clinical Development Support, including clinical trial design and recruitment. This individual will report to the VP of Healthagens Life Science Group and work closely with the Business Development team. He or she will collaborate with Healthagens Analytics and Operations teams as well as with clients and with the broader Aetna/CVS Health enterprise.

Fundamental Components:
Draft and or produce client presentations, rationale/concept documents, proposals, synopses, and the like that incorporate analytical output or clinical insight, often from multiple sources
Interpret, review and edit analytical presentation decks produced by Healthagen Data Science prior to presentation to customers to ensure alignment of SOWs, protocols and output
Work closely with Healthagen Operations and Analytics teams
Interact with Aetna/CVS Health stakeholders and third party vendors
Contribute to development of innovative client solutions and new products
Produce Service Offering Overview documents for Business Development team members to use for initial customer prospecting
Provide strategic support for research-focused patient and provider engagement strategies, including creation of Draft Objectives and Background Information documents for call center scripts and written communications
Travel periodically to meet with pharmaceutical and biotech clients (prospective or current).

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

* 10+ years experience with several of the following methodologies: management consulting, project consulting, business process consulting, financial strategic analysis, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business planning, and/or risk management consulting.
*At least 7 years of pharmaceutical business experience.
* Experience in strategic planning and or marketing analytic
* Experience and integration of internal processes is expected.
* Expertise with MS Office Programs: PowerPoint and Excel are required.
* Experience with Salesforce.com and Smartsheet is desired.
* Must be an individual tremendous interpersonal and business acumen skills.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Masters Degree is preferred
