Leads commercial group insurance analytics for product marketing using data & in-depth analysis to accelerate product growth

Fundamental Components:
  • Leverage advanced analytics & data science to improve commercial marketing results and identify business growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand business pain points and goals
  • Engage with commercial & marketing stakeholders on a regular basis to identify opportunities to implement advanced analytics & data science solutions
  • Translate business problems into analytical solutions by selecting appropriate analytical approaches based on business objectives, data limitations, confidence requirements
  • Build & maintain deep understanding of the commercial group insurance business environment and the key drivers of growth
  • Work with business partners to develop learning plans and design specific testing methods to answer those questions
  • Build and maintain KPI framework to track product performance across all Commercial product lines: Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary
  • Present compelling data-driven recommendations to senior staff and internal clients.
  • Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses
  • Use strong knowledge in algorithms and machine learning models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions
  • Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms


Background Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years relevant business experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading analytics initiatives with track record of business impact
  • 3+ years of experience programming using HIVE (SQL equivalent), R / Python / SAS
  • Demonstrates proficiency in mathematical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling with in-depth specialization in some areas
  • In-depth knowledge of targeting, segmentation, and campaign analysis methodology
  • Extremely proficient in using advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources
  • Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur
  • Demonstrates strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
  • Healthcare sector experience preferred
  • Digital advertising / marketing data analysis experience preferred
