Administrative Assistant

Description:
Provides a wide variety of general administrative support for sales and account management department. Composes routine correspondence, compiles data for routine reports, file maintenance, answer telephones and coordinates calendar, compiles excel spreadsheets, compiles PowerPoint presentations, plans and coordinates team events, plans and coordinates customer events, other duties as assigned.

Fundamental Components:
  • Screens telephone calls, answers routine questions and furnishes information
  • Opens, sorts, distributes, scans, organizes, prioritizes and responds to mail
  • Coordinates calendars; scheduling meetings, room reservations, hospitality arrangements
  • Operates and maintains various office equipment
  • Orders and maintains office supplies
  • Significant portion of duties may be in support of basic technical discipline (e.g., sales, underwriting, network, etc.)
  • Organizes and maintains files of supervisor's correspondence, records etc. following up on pending matters
  • Coordinates land and air travel arrangements
  • Produces a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations using the appropriate software
  • May be a SARS Coordinator


Background Experience:
  • Up to a year of administrative or technical support experience
  • Proficient in MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Project Management Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

This position will support a dynamic and high producing sales and account management organization in Aetna's Public and Labor organization. Position requires a high energy, self motivated person with the desire to support our team and customers with equal enthusiasm.
