We are looking for an experienced Wellbeing Consultant to work directly with our customers on the design of wellbeing strategies and development of programs promoting a culture of wellbeing that encourages employees to be more connected to themselves and their community. This is a highly collaborative position working directly with customers, our account teams, Product teams and our team of Plan Sponsor Insights consultants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for - and experience in - shifting from a focus on physical health to a culture of wellbeing.


Fundamental Components:
  • Development of short term and long-term wellbeing strategies; proactively share information about current national well-being and wellbeing initiatives
  • Wellbeing initiative development and monitoring; recommend well-being solutions and services that align with customer’s needs
  • Oversee and execute customers’ health and wellbeing strategy; identify needs and design programs that support a culture of wellbeing. Measure and assess wellbeing program results to promote improved engagement
  • Assist in design of member and plan sponsor wellbeing communications to educate to encourage utilization of the various programs
  • Development of an annual wellness calendar
  • On-site health event (e.g. fairs) support coordinating with customers and benefits vendors, answer questions about Aetna programs and encourage participation in available programs
  • Available on-site for wellbeing initiatives; travel to customer site to educate, train and promote wellbeing programs
  • Wellbeing program promotion support - promote wellbeing programs to improve engagement
  • Train wellness champion network to promote wellbeing and engage employee population
  • Liaison to wellness community programming
  • Partner with Aetna’s Plan Sponsor Insights clinical and analytical resources on program data analysis and identify key drivers of results


Background Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience promoting and fostering a culture of wellbeing in a corporate environment with employees located across the country; required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with/knowledge of the healthcare industry; required
  • Wellness program certification e.g. WELCOA, Chapman, Corporate Health and Wellness; required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years demonstrated project management experience
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to establish highly collaborative relationships within and outside the organization; including at senior levels
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred relevant degree


Additional Job Information:
  • Candidate must be willing to travel to customer locations in support of programming and wellbeing initiatives; easy access to a national hub airport desired
  • Work at home opportunity with ability to come into an Aetna office as needed for meetings and training (within an hour drive)
