POSITION SUMMARY
Inbound/Outbound queue associate position in a call center environment. Candidate will process faxes and take calls for prior authorization of medical services and help trouble shoot when necessary.

Fundamental Components:

  • This is a high volume customer service environment. Youll need to be efficient, productive and thorough when dealing with our members over the phone or when processing fax requests.
  • Take inbound calls from providers in a call center environment
  • Data entry fax request received from an inbound fax queue
  • Assist callers from hospitals, clinics, facilities and other health care providers to create and manage requests for medical services
  • Helps troubleshoot
  • Participates in plan Continuous Quality Improvement projects
  • Follow processes and guidelines to determine approved services that do not require a medical review in accordance with the benefit plan.
  • Complete special projects in accordance to business needs (i.e. return mail, member surveys, sorting)
  • Works well with a team

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
  • 2-4 years experience as a medical assistant, office assistant or other clinical experience.
  • Understanding medical terminology is required.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Phone experience is desired

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.

Option for telework will be evaluated after a certain period of employment. Flexible telework / office-based schedule (must live near certain office location)
