Medical Economics SR Consultant/Data Analytics- 54910BRPrimary Location: Kenner, Louisiana

The Senior Medical Economics Consultant retrieves, organizes and performs analysis on healthcare data. This position works in direct support of health plan leadership to understand the key drivers of its medical cost trends and reports out with minimal managerial supervision.
*Serves as project manager and/or participant on selected project(s).
*Develops critical and complex information in support of strategic business plans to meet projected requirements of business area.
* Provides very complex programming and analytical support for medical cost trend analysis and strategic planning (such as verifying trends developed by Actuarial team and developing new tools for the regions to analyze medical costs).
*Works cross-functionally throughout the region toward achieving operational targets.
*Presents highly complex information in a way that multiple levels within an organization can understand and utilize to make appropriate decisions to meet business objectives. -
*Assists in development/mentoring of less experienced team members.
*4-6 years demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
*Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
*Strong analytical ability and familiarity with advanced financial and healthcare concepts.
*Advanced software and programming skills.
*Understanding of the healthcare industry including its data and common terminology as well as medical cost issues and strategies
*Skilled in complex financial data collection, modeling and analysis and able to work with SQL Server technologies (ex. T-SQL Programming Language, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services), Access, & Excel
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or MIS; or equivalent work experience in related field.
*Option for limited telework will be evaluated after a certain period of employment; must be commutable distance Kenner, LA office location
