Summary/Mission

The creation, analysis and reporting of financial information on both a US GAAP and local regulatory basis used to support both management decision making and/or communication to internal/external constituents, along with the maintenance of accounting and internal control related processes in line with Aetna standards. The International finance team has an obligation to protect the company’s financial records.

Position Summary/Mission
  • Performs a broad range of basic accounting and financial tasks including clerical and administrative responsibilities.
  • Performs basic tasks and assignments in support of the units’ overall objectives.
  • Assists in the fulfillment of AGB’s internal and external financial reporting obligations and internal control objectives.

Fundamental Components & Physical Requirementsinclude but are not limited to (* denotes essential functions)
  • Responsible for Chasing the outstanding premium with the client & broker, contact with the client, broker & account manager to follow up the premiums receipts.
  • Responsible for ageing report, month-end reports and accounting journals relevant to AR respect.

Under direct supervision:
  • Perform basic payment –related transactions, i.e., broker payment, claim payment, accounts payable payment, or premium receipts.
  • Record cash book transactions on electronic bank system and process cash transactions
  • Balances and reconciles financial information.
  • Prepare and record routine journal entries in support of financial transactions.
  • Identify problems and elevate them to supervisors.
  • Prepare basic reconciliations in line with the AGB policies and procedures, pursuing outstanding items to resolution.
  • Complete general clerical duties as required.
  • Administer business procedures ensuring compliance requirements are satisfied.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationship with customers and internal business partners to maintain a high
  • performance culture.
  • Provide professional, prompt, and accurate service to all internal and external customers.
  • Adheres to best practices and strives for continuous improvement.

Background/Experience Desired
  • 0-2 years accounting/financial experience or related fields.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry

Education and Certification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Finance or a closely-related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and
  • recent and related experience
