Description: This senior tax consultant position will support CVS Health’s Tax Planning and Business Support team. The team is responsible for partnering with the business to identify and implement tax planning strategies; managing federal and state tax audits, appeals and litigation; supporting federal and state tax advocacy; and handling certain tax accounting, budgeting, reporting and compliance activities. Role will provide broad development opportunities in business regulatory and tax issues including federal, state, transaction taxes, tax accounting and financial reporting.
Emphasis on premium tax accounting, budgeting, reporting and compliance.
Support tax accounting, budgeting, reporting and compliance for all other tax types.
Support development and implementation of CVS Health global tax strategy, including modeling impact of tax planning strategies.
Support tax audits and advocacy analyses and processes
Perform data mining, analytics and visualization
Perform tax analysis and research and present findings
Background Experience: Effective problem-solving skills 3 - 5 years tax experience in a large accounting firm, large corporate environment primarily in the areas of tax compliance and accounting, planning and research, and financial analysis. Knowledgeable in the areas of tax compliance, accounting, planning, research, business and financial issues, supervision and coaching. At least 5 years experience in a related area. Professional certification (CPA) strongly desirable. Bachelor's degree of Arts or Science from accredited higher education institution. Additional Job Information: Hands on experience with computers and technology utilized in tax department processes.Effective in completing work timely and accurately balancing competing demands, support multiple constituents and achieve results.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
