Senior Strategy Consultant (67682BR)

Group Medicare is one of the fastest growing business units across Aetna with revenue of over $10B annually This position is a key driver of additional growth opportunities as we partner with Sales, Underwriting and commercial business partners in responding to new proposals requests. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of RFP and RFI responses for complex proposals, questionnaires and surveys. It requires a hands-on approach in resolving proposal issues through project management, research, data gathering, and analysis. The Sr Sales Strategist with be responsible to writing and editing in accordance with Aetna brand standards, plain language and internal RFP style guide standards and leads completion of large group and/or custom proposals. Demonstrated ability to work in a high paced environment and manage multiple projects is a must.

Fundamental Components:
Collaborates with appropriate areas of the organization to manage complex proposals with a clear understanding of products, programs and sales strategy. Responds to medium-high complexity questionnaires or ad hoc proposal requests using the proposal database or crafting customized proposal ready questionnaire responses based on proposal quotation strategy and customer priorities. Must have ability to partner and incorporate SME input as needed. Gathers information from source systems including statistical facts and data, questionnaire responses and sample materials to complete moderately complex or more strategic proposal responses. Facilitates strategy call discussion as needed and takes accountability to communicate strategy to business partners through proposal strategy summary documentation and ongoing discussions. Helps to maintain complex areas of content in the proposal database according to established processes/guidelines and in concert with other cross functional teams across the business.

Background Experience:
  • 3-5 years proposal or project management experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth understanding of Aetna commercial products, Medicare Advantage and Part D, Medicare Supplement products and services.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources.
