Summary:

Our Principal Web and Data Engineer is responsible for owning/leading multiple web application and database initiatives that deliver successful holistic member experience adaptations while enabling healthcare delivery operations with retail capabilities. Role will proactively lead a program and complex projects by setting strategic direction for designing and developing tools through the use of open source technologies. Timely restoration of services, fulfillment of business requests, meeting service level commitments and continuous service improvement are key components to this position.

Fundamental Components:

(*)
Responsible for leading the end to end services for application clusters / portfolios
(*) Function as the application delivery team point of contact for Medicare Informatics Web and Data initiatives
(*) Responsible for designing and delivering innovative applications with the Agile delivery cycle
(*) Lead and is hands on in the development, review of the existing and new web and windows applications
(*) Ensures schedule adherence for release requests and notify stakeholders on time frames and deliverables based on the project plan
(*) Participates and provides input for release planning, (Prepare release notes and ensure application documents are updated to reflect the changes made)
(*) Coordinates with architects and analysts and maintain technical knowledge.
(*) Ensures complete training to end-users before any production release.
(*) Conducts regular meetings with the project teams and address their issues / concerns
(*) Accountable to manage the workload of project and delivery
(*) Shares best practices with the team and leverage organization assets for the benefit of the projects
(*) Participates and provides input for all audits
(*) Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the code and data delivered

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

(*)
10 or more years of healthcare, health insurance, or relevant combination of experience in other industries (Medicare/ Healthcare will be strongly preferred)
(*) 10 or more years of hands on strong development experience in designing/implementing web based data centric solutions, including deployment and troubleshooting.
(*) Strong technical skills using .Net languages (C# and ASP), Web Scripting languages, Design patterns (including MVC), SQL Server, SSIS, DB2, TFS
(*) Experience in designing software systems with various Microsoft technologies and ensure compliance to all architecture requirements
(*) Should have familiarity with Tableau / DevOPS/ Enterprise Data Warehouses.
(*) Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and negotiate across the business and in the external health care environment.
(*) Strong reporting skills using Excel, Access, Word and/or PowerPoint.

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Telework Specifications:
Full-Time Telework (WAH) is available depending on the candidate and location.
