Marketing Communications Account Manager

Primary Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Additional Locations: CT-Hartford, IL-Chicago
Medicare is a top growth area for Aetna as an enterprise and for the Government business. In 2019, the Group Retiree business will be responsible for over $10 billion in revenue. This marketing communications account manager role is responsible for the development and execution of client specific marketing campaigns that focus on retiree (consumer) education and engagement. This role supports a number of Group Retiree's largest customers and their retirees.

Fundamental Components:
Proactive in advising multiple communications strategies for the Group Medicare business and large group employer clients.
Consults with customers, which may include Senior Management, on marketing/communications initiatives critical to their goals to educate and engage retirees.
Develops the communications plan, writes and edits communications materials (e.g., publications, marketing materials, ads, scripts, special events, trade shows, meetings) and executes on the plan for each client.
Manages communications projects (e.g., budget, resources, production, distribution, evaluation and vendors as needed).
Collaborates with desktop publishing, print production, and fulfillment services for marketing/communication projects.

Senior professional with 5+ years in communications or editorial work related experience.
Professional with 3+ years professional communications experience.
Marketing communications professional with 3+ experience working with employer clients and developing consumer marketing messages/collateral.

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
