Description:
In support of department and customer business objectives receives, sorts, picks up and distributes mail, process and send outgoing mail according to established procedure.

Fundamental Components:
Processing Incoming Mail - Receive incoming mail, sort by established schemes (may include date stamping, opening, bundling and/or counting).(*) Distribute according to service schedules.(*) Accountable mail-receive vendor deliveries, verify shipments, generate manifests for tracking purposes and obtain signatures upon delivery.(*) Research for missing and/or insufficient information. Maintain production and department records. Track items per customer request.(*) Process Outgoing Mail - Pick up and deliver according to service schedules and sort by established schemes (may include date stamping, bundling and/or counting). Per customer requests, mechanically fold and/or insert mail, and address mail (may include maintaining address lists).(*) Pack to meet mailing standards. Ship via carrier, which meets customer needs and/or apply appropriate postage (may be by meter).(*) Accountable mail - generate manifest for vendor verification and tracking purposes, obtain vendor signature, and generate outgoing manifests.(*) Research for missing and/or insufficient information. Maintain production and department records. Track items per customer request.

Background Experience:
Proficient in MS Excel and Word, strong customer service skills, works well in a team environment.
