Financial Reporting and Customer Service ConsultantPrimary Location: Hartford, Connecticut

Provide thorough, accurate and timely internal financial reporting, and excellent
customer service to pension plan sponsors.
This position involves two critical areas of responsibility:
1)Financial reporting functions related to investment income
allocation and capital gains and losses for monthly and quarterly reporting
cycles, in collaboration with other internal reporting areas.
2)Customer service to pension plan sponsors related to pension
funding contracts, including financial reporting, billing, pension annuity
payments and associated reserves, client communications and responding to
The position entails extensive use of Microsoft office products
(Excel, Word, Access), mainframe systems, Oracle, and communication tools.
Solid financial and mathematical aptitude. Familiarity with
financial and accounting concepts.
Strong technical skills; facility with financial concepts and
Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and
oral) – ability to grasp financial and pension concepts and explain them
clearly to external and internal parties.
Conscientious and attentive to detail - high degree of accuracy
and timeliness in all responsibilities.
Well organized; ability to manage many different open
responsibilities at once.
Ability to work well individually and as an effective team member.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Understanding of defined benefit pension plans, benefits, forms of annuity, group annuity contracts, and
related history and regulations.
- Successful experience demonstrating the position’s required skills
- Experience and facility with Microsoft Office products (Word,
- Project, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Oracle database applications
- Proficient use and understanding of the Microsoft Office Excel product
- Experience in a customer service environment
