Financial Reporting & Analysis Senior ConsultantPrimary Location: Hartford, Connecticut

This position will help support the Corporate Reinsurance group with monthly and quarterly processing and reporting requirements.
Finance/Accounting position responsible for financial reporting and analysis. Responsibilities include: Month-end close duties including journal entries (accruals, premiums and claims paid), Account reconciliation and verifying accuracy of the general ledger; Assist areas of responsibilities for annual Reinsurance Supplementals; Monthly and quarterly variance analysis for fluctuations within accruals and reserves; Coordination with various other groups to facilitate proper reporting (STAT Supplementals, GAAP Footnotes, etc); Streamlining processes for ease of use and transparency; automation of entries / processes. Ability to work within a diverse and dynamic team with multiple reporting segments
3-5 years relevant experience.
Reinsurance or related experience a plus
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Finance/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desired
Finance/Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) is desired
Functional - Finance/Financial analysis - closing, planning, forecasting processes/1-3 Years
Functional - Finance/Financial reporting and analysis - GAAP reporting/1-3 Years
Technical - Desktop Tools/TE Microsoft Excel/1-3 Years/End User
Technical - Reporting Tools/Oracle Reports/1-3 Years/End User
General Business/Communicating for Impact/ADVANCED
General Business/Maximizing Work Practices/ADVANCED
Leadership/Engaging and Developing People/ADVANCED
