Financial Reporting & Analysis Consultant

Primary Location: Hartford, CT
Additional Locations: CT-Hartford
Provide support for Aetna Financial Systems including training/guidance, system issue resolution and managing interfaces. Perform monthly close activities to ensure internal financial information is updated. Primary systems supported include Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) and Hyperion.

Fundamental Components:
- Provide ongoing system support and oversight such as ensuring mapping rules are appropriately and timely updated in the Accounting Hub. - Develop and maintain ongoing training programs for Finance Systems. - Participate in various projects to improve and streamline Financial Reporting. This includes identifying areas of opportunity to change existing processing and support new system implementations such as Hyperion Financial Management. - Interact with various levels of management to develop and articulate business requirements and status reports for ongoing activities. - Support the year end General Ledger close. - Perform annual SOX Testing as needed. Support other internal and external audit inquiries. - Ensure that newly acquired entities are correctly integrated into the Finance Systems.

Background Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in accounting, finance or relevant positions - Familiarity with Oracle applications and an interest in Financial Systems - Healthcare industry experience desired but not required.

Additional Job Information:
The Financial Information Services Unit is within the Controllers Department. The Unit is responsible for various finance system operations. The Candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects and initiatives. Key projects in the future include streamlining financial reporting, improving the chart of accounts and general ledger governance. This position will provide an opportunity to learn and interact with various areas within the company.
