Audit Project Manager - 58883BR

The Audit Project Manager will be a key member of the Internal Audit team and will direct and assist with the execution of internal audits that include the utilization of data analytics. As an Audit Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a project team in the planning and execution of concurrent and/or complex independent financial or operational audits/projects that utilize data analytics to evaluate internal control processes in a variety of business areas throughout Aetna. You will work with minimal supervision, performing detailed scoping, analytics, testing, financial analysis and validation of audit information as well as testing and creating clear, accurate work flows of business processes, testing results, exceptions and workpaper documentation. You will manage a small team of auditors (Consultant through Audit Project Manager) and liaise with the data analytics support team. You will also meet with various levels of business management that will challenge your communication skills (meeting management and written communication).

Fundamental Components:
Aetnas Internal Audit Department serves Aetnas Audit Committee and assists management in achieving Aetnas goals by conducting independent and objective assurance and consulting activities. Your time with Aetnas Internal Audit qualifies for most states CPA experience requirements. This job will require travel to audit locations within the U.S. roughly 0 - 10% of the year. Key Job Responsibilities: Effectively manages project teams and performs/leads and documents project activities in accordance with professional standards (e.g., IIA, ISACA, GAAS, GAAP, SEC, etc.) and department methodology Effectively plans, organizes, directs and facilitates multiple, concurrent projects of moderate to high complexity that includes data analytics; Leads in the performance of applied statistical research and custom analysis of data, interprets results and has the demonstrated ability to develop the scope and test plans of audit projects based on analytical findings; Lead in the performance of data collection methods, metrics definition and evaluation methods within audit projects; Performs preliminary project review and sign-offs, manages project scope and provides project feedback to IAD project team Works with business area management and department staff/management to facilitate open communication, issue resolution and delivery of quality services Manages project resource needs, identifies and communicates resource/administrative gaps, and works with department management to secure necessary resources to meet project objectives; Manages time and expense budgets as well as project risks / barriers Contribute to overall Internal Audit Department team norms to promote a positive environment and improve team effectiveness Maintain a current development plan reflecting a commitment to self-development as evidenced by positive performance reviews Ideal Candidate Profile: We are looking for talented individuals to help us carry out our mission to develop and execute a risk-based audit plan using an approach that requires an understanding of data analytics, communication and collaboration with our business partners.
