Architect II - Technology Evaluation

Primary Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Additional Locations: CT-Hartford

Description:
This position requires technical evaluation and assessment of technology being considered for use within CVS/Aetna. Successful candidates must have a strong ability to research various technology candidates including multiple research vectors (complexity, cost, financial well being, implementation, operational aspects)

Fundamental Components:
Manage the technical assessment of vendor products and work with existing subject matter experts to ascertain a comprehensive view of risks and requirements for onboarding the product.
Drive awareness of open tasks and issues with respective owners
Provide management with reports on incoming requests and management of tasks
Triage requests for architectural guidance and direct to the appropriate parties
Maintain the repository of installed technology artifacts and associated metadata


Background Experience:
Minimum of 3 years recent and related experience in information systems development or implementation
Experience with architectural abstractions and design patterns.
Experience with technical assessment of product and cloud based capabilities.
Strong communication skills
Strong presentation skills


Additional Job Information:
Work as part of a team who intercepts requests for technology evaluation and assessment of products the business is considering to achieve their objectives. Identify potential risks/exposures with the use of this technology, working with SMEs and domain architects to determine potential duplication/overlap with existing functionality and/or enterprise platform capabilities. Work with corporate security to evaluation security/compliance risks
