POSITION SUMMARY
This role will lead the Consolidations team in monthly close production responsibilities fulfilling accurate and timely compilation and review of monthly GAAP Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flows and other supporting financial schedules. This role also includes leading various Accounting/Financial Reporting projects including evaluating, recommending and developing appropriate solutions and strategies that drive specific financial reporting initiatives and contribute to enhanced process efficiencies.


Fundamental Components:
*Coordinate and supervise the preparation, review and distribution of the Companys consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules and related information
*Responsible for various elements of the monthly financial GAAP close process including: recording/reviewing of consolidating journal entries, maintenance and reconciliation of financial systems, analysis of outcomes versus expectations and investigation of variances, etc.
*Participate in various cash flow forecasting production activities including utilization of the cash flow sharepoint system ensuring all requests to businesses are sent out and responses and variances followed up on
*Prepare account analysis, drill downs and roll-forwards to help identify unusual results, trends, issues, necessary accruals, etc. Work with appropriate responsible parties (i.e., actuaries, segment finance, department managers, etc.) to resolve.
*Identify and support the implementation of new reporting and disclosure requirements related to SEC rules and regulations and GAAP reporting and other related rules and regulations
*Facilitate the completion of annual GAAP financial statement audits and quarterly reviews
*Support and/or implement change so as to create efficiencies, improve processes, comply with new or revised reporting requirements, etc. (e.g., improved management information requirements, financial information systems, financial planning and analysis tools, new products and services, internal control enhancements)
*Lead various projects and initiatives including improved general ledger financial reporting, new consolidation system and cash flow forecast system improvements, internal control enhancements and integration activities
*Provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis in response to ad hoc management requests and issues

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
*5+ years of experience in accounting, finance or relevant positions
*Job experience in related field or CPA designation preferred
*Knowledge of financial reporting and closing cycle
*Oracle and/or HFM experience preferred
*Process improvement experience
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel
*Organized team player who works collaboratively within work teams
*Effective problem solving and communication skills

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Finance/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desired

The candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects and initiatives, including working with a new HFM consolidation tool and initiating process improvement projects involving various financial systems including Oracle.
