Underwriting Analyst

Primary Location: Franklin, Tennessee

Description:
Supports underwriting and/or accounting functions as directed by supervisor in support of stated mission and key performance measures. Scope may be limited to a single or minimal number of products, financial arrangements and/or rating methodologies.

Fundamental Components:
Provides underwriting support for new business quotes, renewals, accountings and/or specialized functions. With supervision, produces timely and accurate quotes, renewals, guarantee reconciliations and/or accountings. Utilizes basic functionality of underwriting tools, systems, and reference materials to produce accurate quotes, renewals and/or accountings. Requests additional information from others as necessary to complete the required task. Maintains integrity of source data and/or accounting data systems.

Background Experience:
Demonstrated success in a production-oriented environment meeting or exceeding production targets.Knowledge of insurance, rating and underwriting and accounting concepts a plus.Demonstrated success prioritizing work and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Experience working with standard Microsoft Office products. High School/GED or equivalent experience, bachelor’s degree preferred

Additional Job Information:
Entry-level position.Must enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment and be adaptable to changing priorities.Analytical, critical thinking, and decision making skills are essential.Strong math aptitude is essential.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information in simplified terms.
