Provider Relations Customer Service Consultant

Description:
Handles customer service inquiries and via telephone, internet or written correspondence. Handles tax information related to medical providers 1099.
Handles incoming and outgoing phone calls to medical provider and attorneys. * Works with Aetna corporate during tax season. * Provides documentation of medical claims information for attorneys/law offices. * Reporting of suspicion of fraud to SIU * Handling provider W-9 name /address corrections * Re-addressing of undeliverable returned checks. Medicare knowledge helpful.

Fundamental Components:
Handles telephone and written correspondence from varied sources (providers, plan sponsors, attorneys and other Aetna Personnel). Makes outbound calls if necessary for client follow-up and W-9 requests from providers.

Background Experience:
Customer Service experience in a transaction based environment. Experience in a production environment. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments competently, accurately and efficiently.

Additional Job Information:
Knowledge of Medicare benefit plans, policies and procedures. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards. Technical skills. Analytical skills.
