About the role
As the Vendor Manager/TPA Governance Manager you will have a unique opportunity to lead the development and refinement of the TPA (Third Party Administrator) management strategy and process within Aetna International. In this role, you will be working with senior leaders and global functional subject matter experts, working across all regions with responsibility for establishing the governance model for how we identify, contract and manage new TPAs.
Your typical day will include:
•Developing the governance framework, partnering with regions to understand their local needs, developing, training and maintaining guidelines for process, and communicating best practices
•Managing the governance process, developing cadence for meetings, and reporting out to senior leadership
•Managing strategic development and ensure connectivity to relevant and priority business objectives
•Acting as “global view” when a new TPA is being considered in a region
•Partnering with regions, central data team, and central operational governance team to develop TPA strategy, review and assess current TPAs, and determine best next steps
•Advising and providing, analytic and consultative support to overall business objectives
•Undertaking analysis and documentation of existing business processes and workflows in operational projects to identify process improvement areas
•Providing recommendations and re-designing workflows to senior leadership to drive maximum operational and financial effectiveness
What you’ll need
•Previous experience managing vendors ideally within an insurance and/or healthcare setting
•Ideally you’ll have knowledge of healthcare TPA’s
•You’ll be a strong influencer/ negotiator with a high degree of analytical ability
•Leadership skills to direct, support and guide our existing teams.
•A high level of communication skills is required to engage stakeholders both internally and externally
•You’ll be commercially focused and results driven
