They deliver business systems and support customers tomeet the organisation’s needs in a timely, cost effective manner. The IT Program Manager will oversee multiple,interdependent business-sponsored IT projects thatspan one or more business units and are responsible forthe success of the project(s).

Key Requirements

·Manages Project Managers accountable formultiple interdependent projects that span one or more business units orfunctions.

·Build a high-performance team.

·Is accountable to the Director, IT ProgramManagement to ensure that program milestones are met and that projectactivities are completed on time for an assigned program.

·Encourages staff development by providing leadershipand mentoring to Project Managers.

·Ensures that projects align with the program'sobjectives by thoroughly understanding the business segment's drivers andissues.

·Identifies and leverages project interdependenciesto ensure synergy between the projects within a program and to promote benefitsrealization across the program.

·Manages to the program budget, and reportsprogram cost information in an accurate and timely manner.

·Proactively identifies additional cost-savingsto reduce overall program expenditures.

·Oversees program milestones, resolves issues,and removes the barriers that may hinder project execution.

·Proactively evaluates program activities, buildscontingency plans, and executes corrective action on a timely basis to mitigaterisks such as scope and/or budget variances.

·Maintains operational consistency andeffectiveness by assisting Project Managers in the use of project managementtools and processes.

·Evaluates projects utilizing quality measurementsand monitoring mechanisms to ensure that deliverables meet or exceedexpectations and integrate with overall program objectives.

·Conducts end-of-project performance reviews forProject Managers on the project team.

·Adheres to Prince2 project managementmethodology by leveraging and promoting the use of existing tools, capturingbest practices, and identifying areas for process improvement. Monitors and holdsProject Managers accountable for meeting performance metrics.

Skills and Experience

·Ability to communicate effectively across alllevels

·Bachelor's degree in a closely-related field, orequivalent combination of education and experience
