Senior or Lead Financial Accounting Assistant (Finance Project & Training Coordinator)


Working across the operational Finance team this role will provide project and training support across multiple finance and business initiatives. Accountable for and manages the administration and ongoing maintenance of current and future project(s) with relatively small and/or less complex scope and deliverables. Project scope will typically impact one of the following: process, system, function, and/or product.

Performs basic tasks and assignments in support of the units overall objectives. Assists in the fulfillment of International’s internal and external financial reporting obligations and internal control objectives.
Provides support to the Operational Finance training and development initiative.

Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements

Provides support and input on inflight projects, UAT and checkout plans to achieve business goals. Perform routine system admin changes and updates as required.

Tracks progress and communicates project status on a regular basis to the team and other impacted parties.

Identifies issues and proactively escalate issues that may stall project and works with manager to address them.

Publishes results supporting project related activity for all products and business segments; Provides accurate, timely and insightful analysis in response to ad hoc requests and issues.

Acts as an advocate for change may require influencing others to see the value in project.

Have an open and continuous improvement and change orientated mindset. Be confident to challenge the status quo.

May solicit and evaluate internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement.

May identify gaps and recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing processes and workflows. Provides recommendations based on identified root cause analysis.


Background/Experience Desired

Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. (Required)
Previous Project Experience (*Will be an advantage)
Finance experience an advantage
Ability to apply knowledge and analytical thinking to work through issues.
Ability to prioritize and meet task deadlines as assigned.
Have a strong appetite for fostering a culture of collaboration and be a strong team player.

Additional Information

Healthcare knowledge.
Strong PC skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Outlook.
Strong written and note taking skills
Support/co-ordination role

Education and Certification Requirements

University degree preferred but not essential.
