Aetna Digital seeks to change the way individuals manage
their healthcare by focusing on the features that matter to our customers,
building software in a modern, lean way, and deploying continuously into the
cloud. As part of the team building the health.aetna.com web application,
we help our members effectively find the care they need.
Our web teams arefocused on building out a provider
search web experience that is used by millions of our users. As the number of members using our applications
increases, our teams will be working to refactor existing parts of our web
application to bring greater stability and scalability, build new features, and
maintain existing ones.
In any given day you will:
·Contribute code and
tests according to criteria established by our product team
·Work with product
to break down and plan sprint work to help us achieve our long-term
troubleshoot and support our applications in production
to improve the foundation of our code
·Learn new skills in
terms of software development, engineering practices, and front-end web
60314Fundamental Components: Works with a cross-functional team, uses agile practices, writes, debugs, and delivers code. Leads discussions with stakeholders from User Experience, Architecture, and Operations. Identifies and fixes problems in code and/or delegates to more junior staff - Follows up to ensure success. Produces solid, thoroughly tested features. Mentors more junior team members. Background Experience: Ability to take responsibility for the implementation, quality, and operation of large features, such as an epic-level story or multi-sprint feature.
Ability to estimate size accurately and deliver on-time and to specification regularly based on those estimates.
Experience translating large features into software designs.
5+ years experience with modern
web frameworks, at least some of which is in ReactJS and Redux
Knowledge of Restful APIs
Proficient understanding of
code versioning tools such as Git
Experience/knowledge with CI/CD
Experience with Agile/SAFe
Software Development Principles
Ability to take responsibility
for the implementation, quality, and operation of large features, such as
an epic-level story or multi-sprint feature.
