Dir, MMA Acct Directors

Primary Location: Denver, Colorado
Additional Locations: CO-Denver
The Director of Account Management is responsible for leading the Retention and Service of the Commercial Group business for the Colorado market. This role develops and leads a team that works with group clients to maximize the renewal and retention in this business segment.

Fundamental Components:
The Director of Account Management will spend approximately 50% of their time on activities, either directly or by coaching one of their team members, to develop and execute critical client strategies that lead to retaining Commercial Group clients in the Colorado market at a level equal to or above the plan budget. Further, this role will lead the team responsible for all service aspects of this business segment, approximately 20% of their time. Another 10% of their time will be spent on leading the efforts of the Sales Support team as needed. The balance of their time is spent engaging the consultant/brokerage community and assisting with marketing and business development activities.

Key attributes:
- Minimum bachelors degree
- Minimum of 10 years industry experience
- Above average industry and local market knowledge

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

This role is critical to the success of the Colorado healthplan because it has responsibility for ALL aspects related to client retention and growth. Colorado is an important market for Aetna because of our Value Based Care model and success to date. The person in this role will have a high degree of influence over current and future strategy and will have the ability to work with and influence multiple areas within Aetna and play a major role developing and shaping Aetna's external market reputation and presence.
