The Senior Director of Behavioral Health Account Management is responsible for providing overall direction and leadership for the account management of Aetna’s Behavioral Health and EAP book of business.

*this role is open to location, will have to be flexible with travel. Dallas,TX Blue Bell, PA and Hartford, CT ideally



Fundamental Components:
This individual will be accountable for driving and achieving company defined retention/account management objectives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop and execute an Account Management Growth and Retention Strategy which aligns with the overall ABH Sales Strategy
Enables the Account Management organization to achieve cross sell, growth/retention and profitability targets and customer satisfaction levels.
Supports team in developing productive and collaborative internal partnerships to create a comprehensive growth and service strategy for assigned book of business. Ensures alignment with customer’s objectives, financial position and employee benefit strategy while providing cross-sell opportunities and profitable revenue and growth to Aetna.
Manages, develops and cultivates relationships with internal constituents across Aetna and CVS Health as appropriate, including identifying opportunities to leverage the combined companies.
Partners with team members as appropriate in meetings with clients to professionally represent Aetna in the marketplace; articulates how Aetna products and services can contribute to constituents’ objectives.
Manages and executes the sales processin collaboration with the internal colleagues as necessary.
Ensures team members create open enrollment strategy with producer and plan sponsor to maximize enrollment.
Manages team in working with plan sponsor services to ensure case is installed/implemented correctly.

Collaborates with colleagues/organizations within ABH to support enterprise initiatives
Recruits, develops and retains a diverse workforce. Sets, communicates, implements and monitors performance metrics with assigned team; aligns assigned performance measures with company objectives.


Background Experience:
Required skills/experience:
Ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical business plans.
Strong decision-making, analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
10+ years sales and/or account management experience in the managed care field
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred

Additional Job Information:
Additional job requirements include; strong knowledge of the Behavioral Health competitive environment and landscape, strong strategic and forecasting skill sets. Candidate must have strong management and people management experience. Ability to work within a heavily matrixed organization. Strong sales skills and executive presentation excellence required.
