You will work as a Senior Analytical Consultant in our Value Based Solutions group in Chicago.Company-wide, Aetna's Value Based Solutions group is responsible for creating partnerships with hospitals and physicians that move the reimbursement for healthcare from volume to value.You will create insights and strategies related to improving hospital and physician performance.
In your role you will act as the consulting lead for analytical projects involving networks, value-based models and provider performance.
Manage projects and programs to generate insights for our customers. You'll use statistical and trend analyses to deliver data driven insights for our business partners.
Create new and sustainable analytic processes in order to track and measure program effectiveness.
Share your knowledge and experience, verbally and in writing. Background Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of industry experience interpreting/analyzing all aspects of a customers experience (financial results, medical management results, population health, effectiveness of incentive/wellness strategies, etc.).
In order to be successful, you will have experience with managed care provider contracts, and healthcare financial, efficiency, and quality metrics.
Executive presence with polished, well-developed, and convincing communication skills
Advanced knowledge of data management tools including SQL, Hadoop and/or other big data technologies
Experience linking multiple data platforms with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
Bachelor's degree required in a quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science. Master’s Degree preferred Additional Job Information: Primary location for this position is in the Chicago office, but will consider candidates to work in other major Aetna office locations such as Hartford, Blue Bell, or other field offices.
