Medicare Sales Manager

Primary Location: Chicago, IL
Additional Locations: IL-Chicago, WI-Eau Claire, WI-Waukesha
Manage sales and, if appropriate, retention efforts for assigned business or customer segments, products and geographies. Primary focus is to manage Medicare Broker Managers, develop their skills, work directly with Medicare Brokers in the assigned geographies and coordinate sales efforts with the Sr. Director of Medicare to attain overall membership targets.

Fundamental Components:
Establishes specific goals for assigned areas of responsibility in line with strategic objectives. Builds successful relationships with Medicare Brokers. Provides input to provider and network development areas to ensure competitive products and services. Develops, executes and communicates a comprehensive strategies aligned with customers’ objectives, financial position and employee benefits strategies. As appropriate, responsible for recruiting, training and developing staff. Works effectively cross-functionally internally to complete sales, servicing and product development activities as appropriate. Monitors industry information and competitive environment of the marketplace to position Aetna’s strength accordingly. Educates Medicare Brokers on Aetna specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current topics and expects the same of team members.

Background Experience:
1-2 years sales management experience for supervisory positions.5-10+ years sales experience, within the Medicare Advantage industry. Bachelor's Degree Required. Applicable state license to sell products.
