Senior Analyst - Medicare Data & Reporting

Primary Location: Cary, NC
Additional Locations: NC-Cary

Accountable for the hands-on development, implementation and ongoing management of complex projects, business processes, and infrastructure. Responsible for analyzing and manipulating large data sets from multiple sources using a variety tool, including but not limited to Excel, Access, and Tableau. Functions include collecting, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on data to measure performance, create and maintain dashboards, and communicate results and metrics to stakeholders and other business units. This includes defining the need, documenting requirements, and collaborating with organizational business partners. This role will also identify gaps in data needs or reporting and perform ad hoc data analysis. As a key resource to others you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and time management.

Fundamental Components:
  • Develops and implements strategic project plans and reporting structure/processes to achieve business goals
  • Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing workflows and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, automate and provide reports in response to and in anticipation of business needs
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and projects, as needed, to support business needs
  • Solicits and evaluates feedback to enhance continuous process improvement
  • Proactively leads project and/or business by setting direction of project, creating project plan, timeline identifying key milestones and additional resources needed on selected project(s)
  • Tracks progress and communicates project(s) status on a regular basis to all impacted parties
  • Builds communication plans for implementation to ensure all impacted parties (upstream/downstream) are informed of next steps for completion
  • Group facilitation/presentation influencing various internal (these may be cross-functional/segment)
  • Identifies issues and addresses them by either resolving the issue or creating an alternative solution
  • Acts as an advocate for change may require influencing others and articulating the strategic view to ensure alignment

Background Experience:
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, data organization & visualization)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, intense attention to detail, capable of balancing multiple projects
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, follow-through on details, and provide input and feedback as needed
  • Comfortable presenting finding to stakeholders as needed
  • Fast learner with demonstrated flexibility who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done
  • Ability to balance competing business and technical needs and assist in reaching best business practices
  • Proven communication skills both written and verbal
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience and 5-7 years of management experience related to standards & measurements, technology, systems, processes etc. preferred.
  • Medicare experience a plus
