The Associate Design Program Manager is a key role supporting other Design Program Managers (DPMs) and Design Producer/Scrum Masters to “keep the trains running on time.” This person will coordinate work across multiple design disciplines and identify dependencies for other groups within the agile release train, reporting updates to help the senior DPM maintain a birds-eye view across the entire portfolio. The role also helps to maintain quarterly plan updates and communicate status updates and other schedule changes to product management and engineering.
As a member of a newly formed design operations group, you will learn about SAFe agile methodologies and aid in the translation of those concepts for our design teams. This includes working on initiatives to create training, documentation, and communication plans to roll out process change to the design team and our partner departments such as product management, engineering, architecture, and analytics.

•Partner with Product and Engineering to coordinate the design needs of the organization.
•Facilitate the discussions and decisions needed to prioritize & sequence work for all stakeholders.
•Publicize and communicate design delivery expectations and keep all parties informed of any changes.
•Communicate issues related to staying on schedule and help propose solutions to remedy the issue.
•Help drive the design team to success by working across teams to drive discussion & engagement, coordinate & track design stories in an agile software development life cycle.
•Ensure internal product stakeholders needs /expectations are met and promote transparency by helping communicate through SAFe/SCRUM practices.
•Effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information gathering and distribution are all core tenets for this position.
•2+ years of experience working within project management, product management, user experience, or similar function.
•Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
•Deep interest in creating great user experiences for team members and end-users.
•Healthcare or insurance industry experience or exposure.
•Experience working with engineering and UX teams to build SAAS-based web applications and native iOS/Android apps.
•Experience with Agile/Scrum practices.
•Knowledge of SAFe a plus.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
