Medical Economics Senior Consultant - Contract Analytics

Primary Location: Atlanta, GA

The Medical Economics Senior Consultant
leads or participates on complex medical economic projects (e.g., Medical Cost Trend determination). Project Management account abilities include project oversight including initiation, identification and completion of key deliverables to ensure all business objectives are met. Responsible for the application and implementation of key medical economics business efforts e.g. medical cost initiatives, policies/programs and analytical models. Accountable for all financial projections associated with project.

The ideal candidate will have analytical capability related to medical expense performance, an interest in problem solving, feel confident in their decision making, and feel rewarded by providing outstanding service to our internal clients. Medical Economics requires knowledge from many areas of the company and is often a gateway to additional internal positions. Ideal candidate will be located in a Southeast or Central territory state.

Fundamental Components:
- Serves as project lead and/or participant on selected project(s). - Develops critical and complex information in support of strategic business plans to meet projected requirements of business area. - Provides complex analytical support for medical cost trend analysis and strategic planning in support of the contract negotiation process. - Works cross-functionally throughout the region toward achieving operational targets. - Presents highly complex information in a way that multiple levels within an organization can understand and utilize to make appropriate decisions to meet business objectives. - Assists in development/mentoring of less experienced team members. May assist in of day to day activities.

5+ years of proven analytical skills

5-8 years demonstrated project management experience.

Strong analytical ability and familiarity with advanced financial and healthcare concepts.
Excellent verbal & written skills; ability to build strong relationships

Experience providing advisory and guidance to colleagues/partners

Must be collaborative and able to interact with leadership at all levels

Detailed, driven, motivated, able to think“outside of the box”
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
Advanced software and programming skills will be required in different MEU departments

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
